Professional Information:  I have been teaching for over 25 years.  I received a BS from Hiram College in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I obtained a Reading Specialist Degree from Carson Newman University.  I also have an EDS from Lincoln Memorial University in Instructional Leadership.

On a Personal Note:  I have been married for over 40 years.  My husband and I raised six lovely children and have many grandchildren.  Our family continues to grow.  We enjoy our (small) farm and all the natural beauty and joy it provides.  We enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and boating.

I especially love teaching! When I count my blessings, teaching is one of them.  I have taught many grade levels, but kindergarten is my absolute favorite. My goal is to ensure that kindergarten is a memorable year, in which students learn to love learning, coming to school, interacting with peers and adults.  My end goal for each school year is that each child grow to their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally, developing skills that are within their ability.  I am very concerned that each child develop a love for learning, and enjoy their days in kindergarten.

Let’s Build Wonderful Memories for a lifetime!
