Steekee Elementary School

In the Steekee gym, that is. Loudon County Maintenance is working hard on our heating issue in the gym. But, we are waiting for a part for a permanent remedy to the situation. I waited as long as possible before making a decision, but I think it's best to cancel our sing-a-long tomorrow. I am sorry that we won't be able to kick off the Christmas break with you. We will usher in the new year with fun family activities this winter. Merry Christmas and Happy 2026! Be safe and stay warm!

Everything is fine at Steekee Elementary school. We smelled gas in the gym/cafeteria and called emergency services to investigate the situation. We are all safely in the main building.

Join us on Nov. 11 at 9 am for our Veterans Day program. Breakfast for our Veterans served at 8:15 am.

Our Fall Frenzy Family Night will be tomorrow, October 28, 2025 from 4:30-6:00. There will be NO launch tomorrow after school.

Friday (Steekee Pride Day) (Steekee Spirit Wear - GO GREEN-as much as possible be creative!

Don't forget that tomorrow is PJ Day! Wear your coziest pajamas and get ready to kick off Carnival Week. Please avoid wearing house slippers or any footwear with a soft sole; sneakers are a great option! Also, remember to leave pillows, blankets, stuffed toys, and similar items at home

Unfortunately, the weather isn't ideal for Back to School at the Pool, so it will be cancelled. We cannot reschedule a pool party this year, but we will schedule an Open House at a later date. In the meantime: Save the Date: September 26, 2025- Steekee Carnival 🎡

The electricity and telephones have been shut off at Steekee and may remain off most of the day. LUB is working to replace one of the poles. We will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience.
