Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of October 27th.
1. Halloween is Friday and students will be allowed to wear costumes, but we ask that all costumes be school appropriate with no blood, gore, or weapons of any kind. Please ensure costumes allow students to participate fully in learning and do not cause distractions. If a costume becomes disruptive to the classroom environment, students may be asked to change. Thank you for helping us keep the day fun and focused!
2. No LAUNCH Tuesday, October 28th due to teacher training.
3. We will be moving the lost and found to the upper cafeteria during lunch tomorrow and Wednesday so please encourage your child to take a peek. We have over 200 jackets and lots of water bottles missing their owners.
4. We have several opportunities for volunteering. We are still in need of a few volunteers to help with our November staff appreciation luncheon. If you are interested in volunteering check out the signup link for already planned opportunities: https://bit.ly/25-26EESVolSignup
5. Next week we have school pictures on Tuesday. We sent home picture information last week https://aptg.co/VhK6QT but if it’s been misplaced here is the digital link http://prepayorders.com/school/ees13215
6. The Rocketeer will go home on Friday so please keep an eye out for it so you can stay in the know for November.
7. Veteran’s day is around the corner, and we want to honor our veterans at our Veterans' Day concert on November 10th by putting together a slideshow. Please email Mrs. Land at lande@loudoncounty.org with the following information of a veteran in your family (Student Name, Student Grade, STUDENTS’ Relation to the VETERAN, Veterans Name
Veterans Branch of service, Veterans Photo). We will also host a Veteran’s Day parade at 10:00 on Veteran’s Day with North Middle School. We ask that our Veteran’s line up at Central United Methodist at 9:45 to drive thru our campus allowing our students to thank you for our service.
8. Parent Tip: This week parent tip is November’s “Helping Children Learn” newsletter with tips families can use to help children do better in school. English: https://aptg.co/7mgPxG Spanish: https://aptg.co/TJyt_P
Have a great week!
