Good Morning Scout Family,
Some concerns have been raised by community members about traffic backing up on to Steekee School Road in the afternoon. I wanted to give you a heads up that there will be a slight change in car pick up procedures beginning this afternoon.

Students who are car riders will assemble in and be dismissed from the cafeteria beginning today, Wednesday, 8/19, until LAUNCH after school program begins 9/1/2026.

When you pick your child up this afternoon, please proceed to the rear entrance of the cafeteria (near the trash dumpsters). Students will be dismissed from that door.

Students must be picked up by 3:30 p, but there are other ways you could help with this backup. Please avoid arriving at school before 3:00 whenever possible. The line of traffic on Steekee School Road is clear by 3:05 (ish) and your wait time to pick up your child will be minimal if you arrive after 3:05 p.

Once again, and always, Thank you for your help with this situation. I deeply appreciate your support and cooperation to keep our children and community safe.

Just a reminder: any medications (prescription and over-the-counter, including cough drops, aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, antacids, eye drops, ear drops, and vapor inhalers such as Vicks) must be brought to the school clinic and signed in with Nurse Claudia. Please do not send medications (prescription, over the counter - including cough drops, eye drops, ear drops) to school with your children. Also, if/when medications need to return home, they will need to be picked up and signed out by Nurse Claudia by a parent.
